If you look at some of the most successful businesses in the world like Tesla and Berkshire Hathaway, the title “entrepreneur” is non-existent in their company’s job title or roles.
Entrepreneurs try to do everything at once. Every role in their company and every task needed to run their business, entrepreneurs do it by themselves.
When you stop identifying yourself as an entrepreneur and instead fill an actual role in your business, you will start seeing other roles that are essential, which you can’t really do by yourself. Once you start thinking of your business as an actual business rather than you as an entrepreneur who’s trying to make money, you start opening yourself up to real business practices. These actual business practices can help you identify where the weaknesses of your business and help you become successful.
Identifying the different roles in running a business is essential in addressing all the things that you need to make it a success. All of the successful businesses like Tesla, Uber, Berkshire Hathaway, and etc., have different delegations in their respective companies. They have a Chief Financial Officer, a Chief of Sales, Operations Manager, and many more. Each of these roles fills a task that contributes to their company’s success.
It is when you stop acting like a small-time business owner and start treating your business like a real business that you can start moving away from being stuck as an entrepreneur forever.
