If it was up to us, we would not have to work. But we need to because we know that ensuring a consistent stream of income is one of the most basic necessities for our survival. The problem is, we show up, we deliver what is required of us, and we look forward to seeing that direct deposit – but it never feels like it is ever enough.
If you feel like you are underpaid, you are definitely not alone. It doesn’t matter if you’re a senior employee in an established company, a budding entrepreneur who just released his first set of products or a consultant who provides specific guidance to a particular audience. Many people believe that they are not paid enough for what they do. In fact, a 2016 survey found that almost 40 percent of employees feel like they are underpaid.
So if that is the case, what do you do? Do you just submit to the dread that comes with knowing you deserve better and not getting it? Fortunately, not. There is one simple trick that you can start, right now, to take control of things and start raking in the cash you should be making.
Write a book.
Why? People who have authored books have not only proven that they know that many words, they are also recognized as authorities on the topic they have written about. When people see you as an authority on a subject, they know that they can trust in anything that you can offer them about that subject, and they will be willing to make it worth your while when you do by paying you the money that you think you deserve. And even better, they will convince other people to see you the same way.
Ready to start? Don’t worry, Adam will show you how to pen the masterpiece that will cement your reputation in your industry and get you earning like you should. Watch the video to learn more!
This is why you’re not getting paid enough for what you do.
