This topic came up with someone who has an Air B&B business in Canada during a Q&A session I held with a group of 7-figure business owners.
They asked they can still make money in their current situation dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
There are a number of things they can do!
Sell Future Dates At A Discount
This works well, providing that person is willing to pay. A lot of businesses are doing this where they book out for the next year, but also allowing people to buy it in advance for a pre-booked date.
Another thing that people are doing is taking that audience of people that can’t go anywhere and then selling them other things.
It’s your audience, why not sell them other things? If someone is one of your regulars for a vacation rental they are already buying from you. There are plenty of ways to sell them a subscription to something else to keep them entertained during the quarantine.
Take that audience and segment it. This is a key lesson I teach in my S.M.A.R.T. Blueprint Program for marketing. Identify what your audience wants by segmenting them and collecting the data.
Think about it…
Somebody who stays in an Airbnb also buys things. They use Uber eats, Netflix, and have all these other ways to stay occupied.
All you have to do is identify what they want to buy and then be the one to sell it to them. This is extremely easy to do once you have a system in place for it.
Have Niche Property Conditions
There are plenty of other things you can do as well. If you have a physical base business like a store or an Air B&B there are plenty of options.
I suspect that the Coronavirus is going to last longer than people think. Something that is very likely to happen is there will be more restrictions on our freedom of movement. However, it is important to remember that not everyone is locked in right now.
There are still a lot of people that are free to travel. With that said a specialized “COVID 19 cleaned” hostile, lodging, or Airbnb would be very appealing to a family right now.
Apply this to the number of families that are wealthy and stuck in two-bedroom apartments or a penthouse. While that penthouse apartment that they paid millions of dollars for sounded great. Now they’re locked inside with their kids all day and it doesn’t sound nearly as appealing.
The idea of getting away to a lodge in Canada where they can still work remotely and ride out the whole thing would probably be amazing if you can find the right people.
This all about making sure you market in the right way. There are a lot of opportunities like this for the right person that really thinks about it.
We are here to help you find those strategies and make the most money possible from them. That is why I held a live stream workshop for business owners, freelancers, and entrepreneurs to learn how to thrive during an economic crisis.
In the workshop, I gave out 12 golden nuggets that will help any business owner thrive during a crisis. At the end of the workshop, I held a Q&A with business owners, freelancers, and aspiring entrepreneurs answering any questions they asked me.
